3D modeling
In this 3D modeling project, I was tasked with creating seven intricate models to be used collectively in a 3D Still Life scene, with the added challenge of offering three distinct options for model placement and composition. Leveraging the comprehensive video tutorials and materials provided on Moodle, I employed a blend of hard surface and organic modeling techniques to achieve a balanced and engaging visual composition.
The project was designed in response to industry feedback emphasizing the need for a diverse mix of modeling approaches. This included hard surface modeling for precise, structured elements and organic modeling for more fluid, natural forms. To meet these requirements, I focused on achieving clean and efficient geometry and topology, which are crucial for ensuring that the models would not only look aesthetically pleasing but also function seamlessly during texturing and subsequent animation stages.
By integrating industry-standard practices and prioritizing meticulous attention to detail, I ensured that each model was built with a high level of accuracy and consistency. This approach was essential in preventing issues during later stages of the pipeline, such as texturing and rigging. The project not only showcased my ability to adapt to specific feedback and requirements but also demonstrated my proficiency in producing professional-quality 3D assets that adhere to the rigorous standards of the Animation and VFX industry.
