ART IN THE PARK
July 9, 2022
I was invited to take part in Art in the Park at Edinburgh Meadows Community Garden.

It is a great initiative that the community group does every summer. It was a great experience (and a very sunny day) to meet a lot of fellow artists and showcase my work for the first time!

I decided to bring most of my pieces from the Figure Studies collection, this is a series that means a lot to me. I started it during the winter of 2020/2021 and continued it since then, exploring different shapes and colour combinations. The series aims at expressing feelings and emotions that mean a lot to me and have helped me going through a challenging time.

The combination of bold colours to me means that bodies are beautiful and should be bright and loved. I like to keep high contrasts and sometimes complementary colours, but also keep one colour with different variations. The series represents bodies in different forms and shapes and it is a celebration of female bodies, beautiful in all shapes and colours, and unique.
